I am delighted to have your interest in my paintings. At one stage in my life painting was purely a hobby, but after many years in the graphics business the opportunity arose to turn to fine-art full time and over the past ten years I have become well-established on the exhibition circuit, and regularly booked to give demonstrations to art groups and societies. I also run my own courses four times a year.

As a bit of background, I trained as a commercial illustrator at both Willesden and Hornsey North London art colleges and initially spent twelve years in a Fleet Street commercial art studio. When I moved to Southampton in the early sixties I was involved in setting up two advertising companies before running my own graphics company. My fine art techniques are self taught, particularly those involving pastel in which I have become something of a 'specialist'. Occasionally I like to go back to oils or gouache.

I hold my own one-man exhibition each year and have had the honour to be President of the Ringwood Art Society as well as an Honorary Member of the prestigious Romsey Art Group. I also exhibit as a member of The Woodlanders, Marwell International Wildlife Art Society, Solent Aviation Art Society, Wessex Artists and Forest Artists.

The next section introduces you to some examples of my paintings in their various categories, since I have wide subject interests, some of which appear as prints and cards.
